We’ve just finished our training sessions with Cheryl, as a first time dog owner, I learnt a huge amount and really pleased with the progress we’ve made so far. Cheryl made me feel really comfortable, was highly approachable in all aspects of training & nutrition.

We have just finished the GROWL programme with Rachel. Romeo was very reactive with dogs and people but with the help of this programme we have seen great improvement and have learnt lots of new techniques to use when coming into contact with his triggers. Rachel is very friendly, helpful and has given us lots of guidance and we would highly recommend her.
Rachel's GROWL programme has been life changing for me and my dog. Lulu was so reactive towards other dogs and I hated having to take her for a walk and was struggling to manage her in the house. The early sessions on management of reactivity made it so much easier to calm Lulu in the house. And the 1-1 and training sessions with other dogs have made a huge difference. Lulu will never love all dogs. But I can take her for a walk without worrying that she will go crazy at other dogs. I can keep her attention on me (as long as I have chicken). Money well spent.
Dexter was a reactive dog, but after completing the Growl Programme and with the fantastic guidance from Rachel, Dexter is a different dog. We both enjoy our walks together and know we can deal with any challenges that come our way.
We wanted to get some advice for our 1 year old cockapoo and the help we received was incredible. Every session with Cheryl was personalised and purposeful and we have learnt so much from her. The reports after each session were in-depth and allowed us to keep up the training between sessions. I will certainly be recommending the company to my fellow dog-owner friends. All we can say is thank you! We now have an attentive and intelligent dog!

We have just completed the Growl programme with Rachel. My dog Bella has come a long way with guidance from Rachel. Tips, not just for her reactivity but everyday handling. Bella is a Border Collie who is vocal, busy and quickly overstimulated by the outside world. Rachel has given me ways to help calm Bella outside and work towards her reducing her reactivity to other dogs which has been a huge issue. I have lots to take forward and strengthen my positive bond with my quirky girl.
Absolutely loved these classes, puppy training is hard but these classes really helped us understand our pup and puppys get to interact with other puppys.
Just completed the 8 week puppy course .Cheryl our trainer is very knowledgeable and has a great fun and informal style. Our puppy has really thrieved from the classes. At nearly 5 months, he has excellent recall, he sits and walks lovely on a lead. I never thought my fluffy land shark would ever get to this stage. I look forward to booking more classes in the future and keeping up with the training. Highly recommend.
Rachel is a calm and experienced trainer who helped me and my border collie, who doesn't have an off switch! I enjoyed working with her and so did my dog. She gave me lots of tools to help with her, and there is an improvement in her behaviour, and in how I deal with her. I would recommend her, she can help!
We had a great time with Cheryl, Baymax and I always looked forward our training sessions and Baymax especially enjoyed her array of tasty treats!
Prior to engaging Canine Connection Company I was at my wits end with our dog’s behaviour. From the very first meeting with Rachel she gave us hope that the issues could be resolved. By the end of the program we had a much better behaved dog. Rachel is amazing, was supportive throughout and her knowledge/experience was key to helping us achieve the changes. I cannot recommend enough!
Cheryl was amazing helping me train my puppy with our 121 classes. Explains everything throughly and will keep going over things until I got the hang of what to do, really took the time to ge to know my dog to so she was comfortable with her aswell. Will definitely be booking next stage again. Thanks Cheryl xx😊
Rachel has been just amazing with our dog Echo. We were at our wits end with her but Rachel’s plan and support has helped get us and her to a place where things are so much better. Our dog is also completely deaf and Rachel was able to adapt things for her without any issues. Could not recommend her more - thankyou for everything! X

Just finished growl with Rachel brilliant experience learnt lots of new techniques for our Kiki still on going but there is light at the end of the tunnel . Really lovely lady and so professional always was there to help
Mylo and me had an amazing time at his puppy classes with Cheryl & Sophie, he is so obedient now and has helped him immensely. He mastered all that was asked of him and more. I'd recommend anyone who I know to do this 8 week course. 🥰🥰🥰
We have used both secure fields at Canine Connections. The large field is lovely. So much open space for our dog to be able to free roam safely. We also used the small field which is great to have fun with the agility equipment. Both fields are clean, have poo bins available and parking inside each field meaning you can load and unload your dog safely. We will be back.
Really great puppy class. Not only did we have loads of fun but Banjo and I both learnt so much. His training has continued and we are adding commands just for fun now. 😊
Working with Rachel has been an absolute game changer with our dog. Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen incredible improvements whilst learning to navigate life and reactivity with Murphy, including how our behaviour and actions impact his. So so grateful for Rachel and the Growl programme. We’re looking forward to seeing where the next 12 months takes us with her continued support!
Bertie my Labrador had a few problems. He pulled on the lead and I live by the sea and when we went to the beach I couldn’t get him out of the sea or off the beach. After the training his walking on the lead is so much better and he checks in with me regularly so we can both enjoy going out. He is also much better at coming out of the sea and coming off the beach it’s still his favourite place but he now realises he has to come with me. Thank you things are so Much better now.

I worked with Cheryl who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise- we enjoyed every session and all the techniques Cheryl taught us are working well. I would highly recommend!
Tia is a 3 month old german shepherd. We booked the large field to practice lead training and recall as Tia is still a little nervous and very easily distracted, it was perfect. Booking online was easy and the instructions of how to get there and the gate code were very clear. The field is completely safe and secure and there is hard standing for the car. Will definitely be back
Fantastic training course. Bugsy is no longer a reactive dog thanks to Canine Connections Growl Solution Program. Rachel is very supportive. I really recommend this program if you have a reactive dog.
We enrolled Peter, our reactive & fearful Yorkie rescue, on the Growl programme. It was a big investment for us but over the course of the 12 months that we were on it, it worked out good value for the amount of 1:1 sessions, group training sessions, plus training techniques/advice via social media. Rachel is lovely, very understanding and clearly loves all the dogs she comes into contact with. It has taught us a lot on what to look out for and how to deal with situations that trigger Peter. Peter’s attention to us whilst walking is now fantastic & his confidence has grown so much. There’s still ongoing work to do with reactiveness, there’s good days and bad days, and he might never be fully free of his fears of other dogs in close proximity, but we now have the knowledge on how to reduce these reactions as much as possible.
We can't thank Rachel enough. She has taught us so much and Bella is so much calmer. Never thought hubby would say, "it is a pleasure to walk her" but he did which says it all. Lots of work to do but all more confident. Thank you 🤩
I'm so glad I took a chance on this trainer who was recommended by a lady I met dog walking in the woods 😅 Rachel was knowledgable, kind and patient with my nervous, stubborn, flight risk of a rescue dog. In the time that we worked with Rachel, we could see our precious pooch open up, become more confident, playful and much happier about listening when she's called to come back! We are really grateful for all the skills and games that Rachel has taught us. We'll continue to use them all moving forward...
Rachel has been such a great help to us. Our cocker spaniel was very nervous, lacked confidence during walks, and struggled to control his own feelings which came out in ‘tantrums.’ Rachel helped us understand why he acts in certain ways, and has really worked on building his confidence up. We’d highly recommend her.
I am very grateful to The growl programme. A 12 week course, during which I learnt how to support my fearful dog and manage with his reactivity. My dog has learnt to focus on me and trust me when he feels threatened. I've learnt to read my dog and listen to his needs. We know each other better and our bond now allows us to be less fearful and anxious during our walks. I would recommend this course to every dog owner, and definitely to those who are struggling with their fearful, overexcited or frustrated dogs.
I entered my overly reactive dog, Charlie, into the Growl Programme after a bereavement left us both at a loss as to what to do with ourselves. The exercises learnt from the programme and the sessions with other dogs have really helped Charlie with his reactivity issues. Whilst he's still not perfect, and realistically never will be, he's much more calm when encountering other dogs on walks and generally seems to be a happier dog. 10/10, highly recommended.
Rachel is fab! Really helped me with my reactive boxer Indie - it’s not a quick fix by any means but Rachel gives you the tools & techniques to deal with situations and I would say Indie has improved massively- we still have work to do but you will get out what you put in
Lovely large open field, our two dogs really enjoyed roaming free. Easy access and parking. Great value for money and highly recommend.
Canine Connection and the training ii second to none. The dogs are treated with such love. My puppy learnt so much and progressed so well. He is a well adjusted puppy. I would recommend them to anyone.
I attended Canine Connections, Newington branch. With my 30month old, rescue dog cockerpoo called Cookie. Along with trainers Rachel and Cheryl. Before hand Cookie totally lacked any training, she was very nervous off people, other dogs, most things and she had no confidence. I was advised to put Cookie on the behavioural programme. To boost her confidence. I was showen and told different training techniques in a safe environment. So I can interact more with Cookie. Although there's still plenty of enjoyable work to be done with Cookie. I'm very pleased with Cookies progress. I intend to continue to use Canine Connections to improve Cookie and myself so we can enjoy life. I like to thank Cheryl and Rachel for there professionalism and plesent attitude. Alan Turner
Canine Connection are experts in training and behaviour using modern techniques. I have thoroughly enjoyed coming with my Labradoodle over the past few years. It's a wonderful community, very supportive, and we have a lot of fun! Both myself and my dog have made new friends and together we have learnt so much! 🧡🐾
It's so good to have somewhere secure that provides exclusive use for my two dogs to run free without any worries about other dogs or people entering the field. Reasonably priced. In field parking on hard-standing. Poo bin provided (bring your own bags). The smaller field has some agility equipment available for use. Highly recommended.
Rachel provided us with one on one training sessions with our young labrador . She taught us the skills needed to enable Leia to walk loosely on the lead. The hard work over the past two months has really paid off. Rachel is really friendly and we would recommend her highly.
I really enjoyed the training course and felt that Eddie definitely learnt a lot in the 8 weeks. It was really lovely to have a WhatsApp group and to be able to ask for advice about anything. I felt that really good advice was given straight away. I particularly enjoyed week 7, practising recall in a safe place. The location of the training was good. I just would have liked all 8 sessions to be face to face. But I would really recommend Canine Connections and I know Eddie would too! Victoria and Eddie

Canine Connection was the life raft I needed when I felt like I could no longer look after my reactive dog anymore. This was a heart-breaking moment for me at the beginning of 2022 as I love my dog and never thought I’d be considering rehoming. HOWEVER… I found Rachel and her Growl Solution programme has significantly improved my dog’s behaviour and enhanced our relationship. Rachel worked with me and my needs to take it slow and steady whilst juggling life and work which was a godsend and made the programme so accessible. I would definitely recommend Canine Connection and their courses for anyone struggling with their dog who wants a kind, empathetic, heart-felt, trauma-informed way of managing their dogs behaviour. Rachel has really helped with our Cocker Spaniel pup, Foley. She is very good at what she does and I'd highly recommend. We will be attending additional classes to help with Foley's progress going forward.

Lovely secure field even had picnic bench’s so I could sit and catch up with a friend while are dogs played safely will 100% be booking again well worth the money
We have just finished the Delightful Dog course. Rachel was amazing! She is so friendly and patient. She even gave some tips for some of my other worries not covered in the class. The videos you receive after the classes via WhatsApp are great for when you’re practicing at home! Would definitely recommend! I wish we had gone sooner!
Really enjoyed the delightful dog classes. The trainers gave practical training tips throughout with individual attention. Would recommend a 121 session as well as classes. Organisation and communication was also good.

The enclosed dog walking fields have been a godsend, somewhere my girls can have a good run and play without being pestered. They are very well managed. Also gives me space to keep up with their obedience training. The views from the big field over the beautiful Kent countryside are a definite bonus.
I am delighted with the services received from Canine Connections. Rachel and her team deliver a first class service at all times. I joined Canine Connections last September and I have been really pleased with Jets progress having undertaken the Growl Programme. It has given both of us confidence in being able to walk in public places where previously I would of avoided. Not only outside has Jets behaviour improved, but in our home where is he now more settled. Again with Rachels expertise's and training tools given to implement, Jet is more relaxed and calmer. Overall we have one happier doggie & owner, thanks to Canine Connections. Highly recommended!
Fantastic support from the whole team at Canine Connection Company. My over excitable working cocker spaniel has already made improvements with the guidance of Rachel and Sophie .
Rachel, really helped us with our 'Guarding' JRT, she advised on strategies to manage her behaviour and gave us techniques to lessen the frequency of incidents. She helped us to understand why the behaviour was occuring and what to do to address it. We came away from our sessions with a dog that although not completely cured was much improved and continuing to improve. Thank you Rachel for making us realise that it wasn't our fault and giving us hope for the future.
I got in touch with Rachel at the beginning of the year for help with my Cocker spaniels reactivity and general anxiety of the outside world. We started on the Growl programme, and It was the best thing I did! We still have a long way to go but the change so far is amazing. I’ve also learnt so much to be able to help him. Rachel and Donna are both fantastic, always at the end of the phone and just make me feel so comfortable. Would 100% recommend them if you need help with your pooch
We have been working with Rachel since January 2022 (on the Growl Solution Program) and even though we've only had a few sessions the change in our dog Sydney is amazing!! Sydney is a very anxious and reactive American Bulldog X French Mastiff and has previously caused us no end of sleepless nights!!! We used to walk at silly o'clock in the morning and evening and dread each time, through fear of bumping into any other dogs, cats, wildlife etc. But now (slowly but surely) changes are happening. This is all through Rachel's training methods and advice. Today, we saw Rachel (in person) for the second time and Sydney is like a different dog!!! Her tail was up and she was visibly happier, as well as content doing happy zoomies in the field. We cannot thank you enough and even though we are so early on in the program we are so pleased with the results already!!
Banjo is our lovely spaniel cross, Bassett hound but a very stubborn little man when it comes to recall. Thanks to Rachel's guidance and experience we have managed to get him to recall with both verbal commands and a whistle in just 4 short 1-2-1 sessions. Amazing what you can do, when you educate the owner. We cant thank you enough Rachael, we would highly recommend canine connection to anyone who needs assistance with their fur baby. Completed a 'walk this way, lose lead walking course' over 4 weeks. I found this course very informative and it has helped greatly! My dog Rodney still isn't walking that well on a lead yet (in built up areas) but I now have the tools and knowledge to carry on improvement and training with him on my own! All the staff from Canine connection where extremely friendly and always helpful. This was only a short course, but I honestly feel it was money well spent! The progress Rodney has made is amazing and it's all about understanding and putting into practice the advice they give you! I would highly recommend!
Can’t recommend Canine connection enough, really not sure who enjoyed the classes more, us or Cookie, or who learnt more. Definitely going to book the scent training and agility classes.

I engaged Rachel's services to help with my 5-year-old rehomed Border Collie, Gwen. The minute I met Rachel, I knew she was right for us. She is a fantastic dog trainer with a lovely quiet and unassuming manner that just inspires confidence, and I have been delighted with the progress we have made. Initially Rachel helped us with Gwen's fear of traffic; this involved creating a bond and getting Gwen, who didn't like to make eye contact, to focus on me. Next we joined the Delightful Dog course which taught us some really useful skills and helped us bond even more. Gwen is a really clever, responsive dog and Rachel has put us well on the road to fulfilling her full potential. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the team at Canine Connection Company. The team at Canine Connection are fantastic, their desire to do their best for not just the owners but the dogs shines through everything they do. I’ve used most of their services over the years, and despite having owned dogs for 30+ years, the first thing I did when taking on a puppy was sign up for their puppy classes, that little monster is now in the Superstars class! Her big “brother “ comes along too and they both love it. I can’t recommend highly enough.
At three months old, our dog was attacked by another dog. It left her nervous and reactive, and us, as owners, dreading taking her for walks in case we came across another dog. It meant we avoided walks and our dog became increasingly frustrated. We discovered Rachel and it was a real turning point for us all. Rachel and the trainers who work alongside her are incredible. We completed the Growl Course and are now able to take Bonnie to Rachel’s ‘Superstars’ class - something that 2 years ago, we never imagined being able to do with Bonnie out of fear of how she would be around the other dogs. Thanks to the guidance of Rachel and her team, walks are no longer a stressful experience for either us or Bonnie. Rachel’s approach is filled with nothing but love and kindness towards our four-legged friends and focuses on the relationship between dog and owner - there’s no one I would recommend more!
Max and I have attended two courses here and have thoroughly enjoyed both. Max is much calmer and more responsive to commands. We have both learnt a lot and I now feel confident taking him out on my own. He is definitely a delightful dog . Thank you Rachel and Sophie.
I attended the Pesky to Perfect puppy course feeling a bit anxious about training our new pup, but I can definitely say after 7 weeks I am feeling so much more confident thanks to the course and the lovely trainers. The course was well organised, instructions and guidance clear and I learned a lot about dog behaviour. I highly recommend Canine Connection 👍🏻
Can't recommend them highly enough. Shortly after we welcomed our very first dog home at 10 weeks old we met Rachel that helped us facing every difficulty, especially during puppihood and teen months. Now we are part of their regular training classes where I continuously learn strategies that help maintaining and improving our dog/human communication. Dog interest's come first and the whole team is super supportive.
We attended a growl course with our worried rescue dog, Monty. Rachel was brilliant at putting us at ease and even met up with us beforehand so that Monty could visit the field and build up some positive associations with it. During the course Rachel gradually allowed the dogs to see each other from a distance and slowly decreased that distance all whilst keeping them under their thresholds. We ended the course feeling armed with ideas that we can continue to use to help reduce Monty's reactivity. Thank you Canine Connection Company!
We sought Rachel’s advice about 9 months ago now. After she was attacked, our little Bonnie had become really reactive to other dogs to the point where we couldn’t take her out for a walk. We’d tried other dog trainers but nothing worked. Bonnie went through Growl classes and has now progressed to be a part of a normal class. The difference in her is incredible. She’s now a lot more comfortable around other dogs, and we’re a lot more confident in how to handle situations when they arise. Rachel uses nothing but love and positive reinforcement. Thanks to Rachel, we now have our dog back and can enjoy our time together rather than dreading walks in case we come across another dog.
Was a gd experience learned a lot my self shame my Bruce didn't god rest his soul. But teenage beagles cross never learn.
I hired a field for an hour so that my reactive dog could have her first off lead run around. She loved it. The fields are secure and i could relax.
Two large closed off fields with lots of room for your dogs to run and around and play and great for training too.
